Honeymoon?
Good evening readers!
We had a very interesting and educational evening. We attended an "engagement party" at a local travel agency.
My first stop was the florist. I had no idea about costs on flowers, specifically what types of flowers would be cheapest and how much bouquets would cost. I learned that I basically just need to set a budget for the flowers, and most florists will try to get you everything you want within that budget (unless it's completely unrealistic, of course.)
Then we got some free mini-cupcake samples from Dorothy Ann's bakery (super yummy.) We're just not sure we're going to do cake or cupcakes yet.
Then we talked to the travel agents about possible honeymoon destinations. This brought up a really good question: when should we take our honeymoon?
I'd like to take it right after our wedding. Like get married on Saturday and go on our honeymoon on Monday. This, of course, depends on money. I know we could wait a few months if we need to save up, but it just seems so anticlimactic to get married on Saturday and go back to work on Monday.
We talked to a travel agent about one destination, specifically. It's by far our top choice for honeymoon spots, but it will remain a mystery for now.
All is well in the land of dieting and exercise. I had a really busy day at work, so I got a lot of steps. I followed my diet well, except for those cupcake samples. I do realize, though, that I am probably going to have to be a bit more diligent after these first few weeks. I have a calorie deficit every day, but I will have to rein in my extra snacking (especially at work). For example, today I had a 130 calorie bag of baked chips at lunch, and some cheese for an afternoon snack. Soon I will have to cut these out or trade them for something healthier if I want to continue on the weight loss path. I don't want to deprive myself, but I only have 400 odd days to get in shape!
Question for you: when should I start looking for a wedding dress? If I'm trying to lose weight, should I wait a few months so I don't end up buying a dress today and then losing a ton of weight and have to get it dramatically altered? Or should I start ASAP so if it needs to be altered I'll have time? I need advice!
Until tomorrow, readers.
